No intention of being more than a friend to Maria – Pere
Pere, the second runner-up on BBnaija Shine Ya Eye, feels Maria will always be simply a friend to him, despite spending five weeks with her on the programme.
Pere told The Nation in an exclusive interview that even though Maria is a kind person, she would always be a friend to him.
“There’s nothing not to like about Maria; she’s a very pleasant person.” “She’s clever, she’s smart; these are some of the first things I saw about her when she walked into the house.” Maria would always be a friend because, you know, people have disputes and do things that people don’t like.
“If you find out that someone does something to you that you don’t like, you voice your displeasure and that person truly apologises, it’s decent to do that, so yeah, we’re friends, she’s a friend and will always be,” he added.
“I don’t intend to go farther than being friends with her, I have a girlfriend,” Pere stated, reaffirming his commitment not to be more than friends or be physical with Maria.
When she informed me she had a boyfriend at the start of the programme, I told her I had a girlfriend, and she inquired about my girlfriend’s country, and I told her she’s a Sierra Leonean.”
Pere and Maria were quite close, and fans wished they might be a couple.
Pere and Maria were always partnered together in the house, and even when Maria was ousted in the fifth week, Pere kept telling other housemates and Big Brother that he missed her.
