Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is coming to Oculus Quest 2

Mark Zuckerberg stated during Facebook Connect 2021 that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is being developed for the Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality device. During the event, no more details, such as the pricing, release date, or even a quick preview of the game in action, were revealed.

The game will be released, according to a blog post on Oculus’ website. “This is a project that has taken many years to develop, and we can’t wait to show you more of it,” it continues.

GTA: San Andreas, as well as GTA III and Vice City, are being remastered, and the collection will be available on November 11th for a variety of platforms.

The business didn’t say if the VR version of San Andreas is based on the remastered assets or the vintage PS2 assets (hopefully the former, not the latter), but we’ve contacted Oculus for further information.
