Five Afghan girl robotics team members land in Mexico
After the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, five members of an Afghan all-child robotics team safely arrived in Mexico.
On Tuesday, together with over 100 media workers, they arrived at Mexico City’s international airport.
The robotics team has received international recognition for its engineering work and consists of women and girls who are 14.
When the Taliban ruled Afghanistan in the late 1990s, girls were prevented from working in schools or women, but recently claimed that they would respect the rights of women.
The girls decided to leave Afghanistan for work as engineers.
Other team members went to Qatar as well.
