Denmark midfielder, Christian Eriksen is responding positively to treatment in the Hospital, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) confirmed in a statement Saturday.

Denmark star Christian Eriksen was taken to hospital and is now awake after collapsing during his side’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland on Saturday in Copehagen.
Eriksen fell to the floor after rushing to receive a throw-in close to the corner flag deep in Finland’s half of the field. The Inter Milan Star collapsed face first as the ball hit his knee, with nearby players immediately signaling for urgent medical assistance.
The rest of the Denmark team formed a protective barrier around their teammate to shield him from view as medical staff appeared to perform CPR procedures.
Eriksen was stretched out of the pitch after being treated for 10mins and CPR conducted on him. The fans were left in tears. however, the news of his stability in the hospital and positive response to treatments comes as a great relief to the soccer world
