Arraignment: IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu encourages followers to go on a dry fast

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has encouraged his supporters to go on a dry fast before his arraignment on Thursday, October 21st.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Kanu’s lawyer, confirmed this in a statement released on Sunday.

Nothing, according to Ejiofor, would prevent the Federal Government from bringing Kanu back to court to continue his trial.

“Thankfully, the Federal Government of Nigeria is fully aware of this date, and even more compelling is the fact that the detaining authority has completed every alleged inquiry into the case since over a month ago,” the statement said.

As a result, they will have no credible justification not to bring Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in court on Thursday, October 21, 2021. On this occasion, you must all see him live and direct,” the message said in part.

As the D-Day approaches, Onyendu encouraged his supporters and millions of followers to go on a dry fast, because we shall win a resounding victory on this day, and the Almighty Chukwuokike Abiama would be awarded honour and worship in the end, Iseee!!!

In a nutshell, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, our indefatigable client, is solid and powerful in his convictions.

He was never brought anywhere outside of Abuja. He’ll be in court next Thursday, and nothing will stop Nigeria’s Federal Government from presenting him in court on October 21, 2021.”
